Downtown Boca is the center of a series of festivities which brings much to see and do for the coming month of December. The Holiday activities are set to include concerts, parades, and much more. Whether you are taking in the sights solo or enjoying them with family members and friends, the lineup is sure to be an engaging and fun filled one that people of all ages will enjoy. The festivities entitled ‘Light Up Downtown Boca’ started on November 26th with The Boca Raton Holiday Tree Lighting and are set to continue throughout the month of December.
The 38th Holiday Boat Parade
The next event in the lineup of festivities takes place on Saturday December 6, 2014 and is entitled The 38th Holiday Boat Parade. This popular event will occur along the waterways and will feature beautifully decorated boats studded with spectacular holiday lights. The event will begin at C-15 Canal and bleacher viewing is available at Red Reef Park and Silver Palm Park. $10,000 in cash and prizes will be up for grabs and boat entry is free of charge.
The 8th Annual No Snow Ball Concert
Next in the lineup of Holiday events taking place in downtown Boca is the 8th Annual No Snow Ball Concert. This exciting musical display features chart toppers such as Christina Perri, Gavin Degraw, and American Authors. The event is presented by 97.9 WRMF and will take place on Saturday December 13 at 6:00 PM at the MPA. Interested visitors can purchase tickets in advance at www.frontgatetickets.com.
Chanukah Under The Stars
On Friday December 19th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Temple Beth El of Boca Raton will showcase Chanukah under the stars in the Amphitheater. Bounce house activities, arts and crafts, face painting, and more will be available at no charge. At 7:30 there will be a Young Children’s Chanukah Shabbat and songfest with many different foods available to purchase.
Climb Aboard The Polar Express
An evening of delightful family fun awaits when Boca residents and visitors take part in ‘Climb Aboard The Polar Express’. This exciting event takes place on Saturday December 20th with family activities that are available free of charge. The ‘snow’ and train rides begin at 5 p.m. at the MPA and at 6:30 p.m. a showing of the Polar Express movie will be presented. Light refreshments can be purchased at the event and include hot chocolate, pizza, and movie theater popcorn.
